Tips For Selecting Diamond Saw Blades

There are many factors which influence the performance of diamond saw blades. Here we suggest some ideas you can
consider when selecting them:

 

1) The Diameters and Shapes of the Blades

 

The diameter and shape of a blade should be chosen according to the dimension of the stone to be processed and the
requirements of processing quality.

 

The shape and structure form of a blade should be chosen according to the requirements of processing precision. When
cutting the stones whose requirement is smooth surface or which are thin and of easily border-broken, narrow slot diamond
blades should be chosen. When cutting the stones whose processing requirements on surface are not high or which are fairly
thick, wide slot blades can be used.

 

2) A diamond blade's features should match the nature of the stone to be processed.

 

When the nature of the stone is High Hardness and Density, the diamonds' hardness should be high, and its concentration
can be a little bit lower (25% - 30%). This combination can guarantee the cutting efficiency. The bond should be softer, and then
the new diamonds can be more easily exposed.

When the nature of the stone is Low Hardness, the diamonds' hardness can be medium, and its concentration should be a little
bit higher. This combination can get good cutting efficiency, and at the same time prolong the blade's life. Bonds with better abra
dability should be chosen to prolong the blade's life.

When the nature of the stone is High Abradability, the High Hardness, bigger grit and high concentration diamonds should be
chosen. The bond should be harder, and of good abradability.
